TTS Robotics Early Number Mat – Junior Robotics Early Numbermat shows the numerals, written word and number pictures from 1 to 10. It is a perfect resource to use digital technologies to introduce students to basic numeracy skills like counting to ten. The mat is colour coded – the corresponding numeral, number picture and written word all have the same colour square. This makes it easier for students to find the correct relation between thenumeral, written word and number picture.
This mat can be used with your Blue-Bot or Bee-Bot, because the grid on the mat corresponds with the movements of the bots. Each square on the Bee-Bot mat measures 15x15cm and both Blue-Bot and Bee-Bot move in 15cm steps and can be programmed to move to the different squares on the mat. Children can program Blue-Bot and Bee-Bot to move from 1 to 2 to 3, all the way up to 10. Or perform simple addition and subtraction activities, by randomly putting Blue/Bee-Bot somewhere on the mat (for instance 3) and let the students program Blue/Bee-Bot to move to the number that will make 10 (in this case 7). They can do that in one step, or more steps (for instance by starting on 3 and programming Blue/Bee-Bot to first move to 2 and then to 5) to increase the difficulty. The cute animal pictures and the colourful squares will appeal to every student! The mat measures 75 x 90cm. Made of durable vinyl, and easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. Ages 3+ years.
